300,000 homes with broadband slower than 2mbs can now claim £350 towards satellite broadband including dish and subscriptions.
Currently 90% of the UK population now has access to super fast broadband but the governments goal is to give everyone the legal right to access broadband of 10mbs or faster by 2010.
The cost is expected to be £105 million but online £15 million has been allocated for the project. Most homes and businesses that qualify will be in rural areas.
You can only qualify if you cannot get broadband faster than 2mbs from any of the major suppliers. To check first go to one of the main suppliers here
