Mr Bean sells his home

Mr Bean star Rowan Atkinson has had to drop the price of his Oxfordshire home to find a buyer.

The Old Rectory in Waterperry, a Grade II-listed five-bedroom home in six acres, came on the market 18 months ago for just under £3m.

Atkinson was forced to reduce the asking price to £2.4m to seal a deal.

The actor and comedian put home on sale after separating from his wife of 24 years, Sunetra Sastry.

“I have had and loved the house for a long time, but no longer have the use for it,” he said at the time.
