The Hollywood star is one of few UK buyers to own one of these – and now you can too (if you’ve got a bob or two)
Do you want to live like Hollywood A-lister Antonio Banderas? If you have a spare few million pounds you can now.
A rare “Huf Haus” property has gone up for sale in Surrey – a similar home to the once chosen by the film star when he moved to the area.
Banderas, who moved in to his Huf Haus in Cobham last year, is one of very few home owners to choose the trendy new style of ‘tailor-made’ eco home in the UK.
He paid £2.4m for his Surrey home, which is built at energy-efficient workshops and shipped to a location for the ultra-rich, back in 2015 and has been spotted out and about in the area since.
Now another Huf Haus in Weybridge has gone on the market with an undisclosed price, which is expected to mirror the millions spent by Banderas when he moved in.
Designed in the traditional Huf Haus style, it has huge windows and beamed ceilings – and enough space for a host of amazing extras such as a pool table, cinema and even a football pitch.
The Huf Haus is located on an acre of land on St George’s Hill and has five double bedrooms each with its own balcony. There are also four en-suite rooms, a large family bathroom, lounge and dining area.
Below the property is an exclusive triple underground garage, and there’s also a games room with space for a pool table and a built-in home cinema.
The private gardens include a pond, water wheel and seating area, complete with swinging chair. Football-mad buyers also have space to install their own football pitch, according to the estate agent.
There’s even a chance you will bump in to the Mask of Zorro star, who lives in Cobham with his girlfriend Nicole Kimpel.
When he moved in in 2015 he said: “I find Surrey magical. I am not a party person anymore, so I have the space and peace to write and really get inside my own head – I am working on several scripts.
“I go cycling in the woods and everyone in Cobham, Weybridge and Esher is incredibly friendly. Above all, I am surrounded by nature. I love watching the deer and foxes that come to my garden.”
The multi-million pound homes of Surrey seems to be a popular location for the German company, which has opened its UK show home at Brooklands in Weybridge to take advantage of the celebrity and high-end clients hoping to live there.
